But my focus is on myself, my team and on us getting the result we want.We can’t predict how they’re going to line up, especially teams like Liverpool who are competing in Europe in midweek. But we know that no matter what, Liverpool will have immense quality all over the pitch, so we will have to be ready for that.

Hammers on the up

You will remember the absolute state West Ham were in when Nuno took over earlier on this season - essentially staring relegation in the face.

But the Hammers have been getting to work, and Nuno has been key to that. They have picked up two draws and a win in their last three matches, and are now outside of the bottom three.

Big props to them. And they will fancy this today!

Slot: 'We fight on'

I'm not sure if I said it last night but we fight on and we try to improve.I do agree with you that our standards have not been of the standards we are used to and what we want.We think we can play better than we do, but last season when we did well, there was a lot of focus on individuals. I've always said it's about the team and if the opposite is happening we should also look at that.

And it's not just the league where Liverpool have been struggling.

Despite beating Real Madrid in the Champions League at the start of the month, they were thumped at home to PSV on Wednesday, going down 4-1 to the Dutch side.

This is a crisis - make no mistake about it. It needs putting right, and Slot has the chance to somewhat do that today.
