Lane Kiffin's desire to finish the season with Ole Miss before leaving to join LSU is holding up a formal announcement on his future, according to reports.
The Rebels head coach has a huge decision to make after receiving a staggering $90million offer to depart the program and take over the LSU Tigers program.
One day after their playoff-clinching win over Mississippi State, Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports claims he has accepted the offer and is on the verge of becoming the Tigers' new head coach.
However, in an hours-long meeting with Ole Miss chiefs on Saturday night, Kiffin reportedly told the Rebels that he still wants to coach them through the College Football Playoff.
It is believed that request is the snag delaying the formalization of his move, with Ole Miss reluctant to let him lead the team in the postseason if he is set to leave.
Kiffin met with athletic director Keith Carter and chancellor Glenn Boyce at the latter's home to discuss his future on Saturday. The meeting is understood to have lasted more than three hours, before vehicles believed to belong to Carter and Kiffin were seen leaving the house at roughly 6:45pm.

The school has not released a statement, suggesting Kiffin did not agree to a contract extension during the meeting.
As he continues to negotiate his Ole Miss exit, LSU officials are said to have organized for two planes to fly to Oxford and pick up Kiffin, his family and others on Sunday, before bringing him over to Baton Rouge to seal the deal.
They remained confident Saturday of successfully poaching the head coach of one of their biggest SEC rivals, with one source reportedly saying: 'If he doesn't come, we've been duped.'
