Joe Burrow may be sidelined for even longer than expected with his turf toe injury - as a new report has suggested he may miss the entirety of this season.
Following Burrow's injury against the Jaguars last week, it was reported that the quarterback would miss around three months after undergoing surgery to repair the issue.
However, Fox Sports' Jay Glazer has casted doubt on that timeline - saying that Burrow could return if Cincinnati makes the postseason.
'They're saying three months, I don't see three months being an actual timeline,' he said on Fox NFL Sunday.
'I think more so [he has] a chance if they make the playoffs, but only because it's Joe Burrow. Somebody else I'd say no. But he has that Mamba Mentality, maybe yes. It's such a difficult injury to return from.'
Glazer added that Burrow - who underwent surgery on Friday - fully tore a tendon, ligament and a 'capsule' in his foot.
The report has essentially added a month-plus to Burrow's recovery timeline, as the Bengals' Week 15 matchup against the Ravens on December 14 would have been three months from the injury.
The NFL playoffs begin on January 10.
