A heartbroken Jets fan threw a tearful tantrum after hearing that New York had traded his favorite player, Sauce Gardner.

The brilliant cornerback was sent to the Indianapolis Colts in a trade that sent shockwaves through the NFL.

It was the first of two huge deals involving New York in the hours before Tuesday's trade deadline. The Jets later sent star defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys.

TJ Vilardi, a Jets season ticket holder, had the unenviable task of telling his two young sons after they arrived home from school.

The younger boy immediately began crying and wailing after hearing the news. He then stomped his foot and screamed after finding out that Gardner had gone to Indianapolis.

'Now I don't like the Jets,' the boy shouted. 'I like the Colts now!'

New York lost both cornerback Gardner and tackle Quinnen Williams on a dramatic day

The clip soon spread across social media and later on Tuesday, Gardner replied to the video with a message for Vilardi.

'You should've at least waited till tmrw [tomorrow],' the cornerback wrote alongside two crying emojis.

Gardner, one of the Jets' most popular and accomplished players, was traded to the Colts for a first-round draft pick in 2026 and another in 2027, along with wide receiver Adonai Mitchell.

For Williams, meanwhile, the Cowboys are giving New York a 2027 first-round pick, a 2026 second-rounder and underperforming defensive tackle Mazi Smith.

The Jets will get the better of Dallas' 2027 first-rounders. The Cowboys added first-round choices each of the next two years in another blockbuster, the trade that sent star pass rusher Micah Parsons to the Packers a week before the season.
