TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Acting Governor of Jakarta Teguh Setyabudi said that 9.2 million people will be the beneficiaries of the Free Health Check-up program in Jakarta. This program will be launched on Monday, February 10, 2025.

"Well, this is actually a free health check-up as a gift for those who have birthdays. We also have to serve around 9.2 million (people)," said Teguh during a direct review at the Tebet Health Center, South Jakarta, on Sunday, February 9, 2025. Previously, Teguh also conducted a review at the Tanah Abang Health Center.

Based on the simulation results, each person takes an average of around 10 minutes to undergo this health check. Therefore, he said the quota per day is limited to 30 people. The Jakarta Provincial Government, said Teguh, will provide support in the form of disposable medical materials (BMHP). "Actually, the budget will come from the center, from the APBN. However, from the start, we have supported the disposable medical materials," he said.

According to Teguh, people who have an Identity Card (KTP) from outside Jakarta can still get free health checks in Jakarta. The requirement is that they must download the Satu Sehat Mobile application, choose the desired health facility, and determine the date of the examination.

This examination, said Teguh, applies to people who have birthdays up to 30 days after. However, for those born between January and March, the free health check service can be used until April. "And from babies aged two days, twice 24 hours, to those who are elderly, we serve," he said.

Teguh also stated that all health centers in Jakarta are ready to implement the free health check program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto. In the initial stage, this program will take place in 44 health centers, with 292 assistant health centers if additional health facilities are needed. "For the 44 health centers, in terms of staff, human resources, God willing, we are ready, in terms of sar-pras (facilities and infrastructure)," he said.

Teguh said he had checked the readiness of the health center in this program, starting from when the community came until they were examined. He also said that after the examination was completed, the community would receive education from the health center. "We want to ensure conditions like this, until then there is a kind of screening, examination, from counter to counter, from room to room until finished, until the education," he said.

He hopes that this program can play a role in early detection of various diseases that the community may suffer from. Through this examination, said Teguh, not only can diseases be found earlier, but also guidance is given on the right treatment and education on how to maintain health independently. "After all, Jakarta is a barometer, and we hope it can also be a role model because our health center is already integrated with primary services. So it's good," he said.
