TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Nusron Wahid said that his ministry is currently drafting Government Regulations on Sustainable Food Agricultural Land (LP2B). This is done to address the issue of paddy field conversion totaling up to 100 to 150 thousand hectares each year.
According to Nusron, the conversion of paddy fields is not in line with President Prabowo Subianto's instruction regarding food self-sufficiency.
"That's why in this regulation, people can take paddy fields, but they have to replace them with new paddy fields. We will also prepare a Government Regulation (PP) to accommodate situations where land availability in one province is scarce so it can be proposed in another province to replace the land. God willing, the regulation will be finalized in mid-2025," said Nusron in his written statement quoted on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
Meanwhile, Nusron also stated that he will continue to strive for land service transformation, including in certification services, Land Rights, and Royalty. He claimed to be committed to finding solutions to ensure that there are no illegal levies in the Ministry of Agrarian Afffairs services.
"That's why we need to transform, but I need time to streamline those services," Nusron said.
The Golkar Party politician mentioned that his ministry will also allocate 79 thousand hectares of abandoned land for the Three Million Houses Development program. This amount comes from 1.3 million hectares of land currently recorded in his ministry.
In addition to land provision, Nusron mentioned that his ministry has identified at least six aspects in the land sector directly related to the community and housing development to support the Three Million Houses Development program.
"Land provision, land certification, approval of Conformity of Land Utilization Activities (PKKPR), Protected Rice Fields (LSD), Land Rights, and Royalty, these are directly related to developers and consumers," he said.
Regarding the PKKPR aspect, Minister Nusron urged property sector players to check the Regional Spatial Planning (RTRW) and Detailed Spatial Planning (RDTR) in each region. He pointed out that this step is to prevent spatial utilization discrepancies in each region.
