TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, also known as AHY, reveals his plans for his first 100 working days. AHY stated that at the beginning of his term, he will inaugurate several infrastructure projects that are nearing completion.
"There are several infrastructure projects, such as reservoirs, roads, irrigation, and others, that can be inaugurated. Not only for formality, but the benefits can be immediately felt by the community," said AHY at the Ministry of Public Works, Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
For your information, AHY was recently inaugurated by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto as a member of the Red and White Cabinet on Monday, October 21, 2024. Assuming the new coordinating minister position, AHY started his work by visiting the technical ministries under his supervision, including the Ministry of Public Works.
After meeting with Minister of Public Works Doddy Hanggodo and Deputy Minister of Public Works Diana Kusumastuti, as well as their staff, AHY mentioned that his ministry will plan and refine the work that has been designed so far. He stated that the spirit embraced by the new government is a spirit of continuity.
Several work focuses to be executed include market projects, stadiums, educational centers, and drinking water facilities. "We will complete all of these in the near future," said AHY. Furthermore, he promised to report to the community on what will be done in the next five years.
Furthermore, AHY stated that President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of infrastructure development in creating economic growth centers. According to him, the infrastructure built by the previous government will be strengthened by the new administration. Meanwhile, infrastructure that does not exist yet will be constructed.
"Because to achieve high economic growth in line with the spirit of the Asta Cita, including towards Indonesia Emas (Golden Indonesia), new economic growth centers are needed," expressed AHY.
