TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Aviary Park Indonesia, which is a wildlife conservation center and environmentally friendly tourist destination, was officially opened on Monday, February 24, 2025. The 5.9-hectare bird park in South Tangerang was inaugurated by the Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni.
"We really appreciate it, especially since this place used to be an illegal garbage dump and there was an initiative from Jaya Real Property to become a wildlife conservation center," said Raja Juli Antoni in Tangerang.
Aviary Park Indonesia can be used as an education center for students. In this aviary, students can learn about various types of trees and animals.
"We also welcome it because as a conservation institution that now has 83 points and in the future it can increase," said Raja Juli Antoni.
10,000 Trees and 500 Animals
President Director of PT Aviary Jaya Lestari Michael Sumampau said that Aviary Park Indonesia is a unique location because it is located in the middle of the city so it functions as the city's lungs.
Currently, 10,000 trees and 500 types of animals such as birds, butterflies, and arthropods have been planted.
Aviary Park Indonesia has also successfully bred protected species, such as the Bali starling and also beautiful butterflies such as Troides helena, Papilio peranthus, Cethosea penthesil and Moth attacus attlas or known as the king butterfly.
Ticket Prices
Visitors to Aviary Park Indonesia can tour the park and watch several bird shows. There are two types of tickets available, namely regular tickets and through tickets. Regular tickets offer a tour around the entire Aviary Park Indonesia area and watch a bird show.
The through ticket includes a tour around the entire Aviary Park Indonesia area, watch a bird show, explore the Aviary Park Indonesia lake by boat, and feed fish and animals.
Regular Ticket:
- Weekdays Rp118,000 (adults) and Rp98,000 (children)
- Weekends Rp138,000 (adults) and Rp118,000 (children)
Continued Ticket:
- Weekdays Rp148,000 (adults) and Rp128,000 (children)
- Weekends Rp168,000 (adults) and Rp148,000 (children)
Aviary Park Indonesia is open daily from 09:00 to 18:00 WIB.
