TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that rain, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms, will color the weather in Jakarta today, Monday, December 1, 2025. But not for the entire Jakarta area.
According to BMKG's weather forecast, only Central Jakarta will be cloudy throughout today. The rest have the potential for light rain, namely South Jakarta, West Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands.
Meanwhile, East Jakarta is expected to experience rain accompanied by thunderstorms today. While North Jakarta, as stated by BMKG, might have thunder but no rain.
For the surrounding Jakarta area, BMKG predicts the potential for rain today to be spread evenly in all areas. Some with light intensity, some with moderate intensity. However, none will be accompanied by thunderstorms.
Heavy rain or moderate intensity today is likely to occur in the Bogor Regency and City, as well as in South Tangerang City.
In general, as previously communicated by BMKG in the Weather Outlook for November 28-December 4, atmospheric waves are once again significantly affecting the weather in Indonesia-not the Tropical Cyclone Senyar. While the cyclone spreads high-intensity rain in the northern part of Sumatra, the Jabodetabek area experiences minimal precipitation.
