TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Brazil’s U-17 national team began their 2025 U-17 World Cup campaign in emphatic fashion, routing Honduras 7-0 in their opening Group H match at Aspire Zone Field 3 in Doha on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
From the first whistle, Brazil controlled the game with their trademark attacking style. They struck early in the ninth minute when Ruan Pablo converted a precise pass from Ze Lucas, giving the Selecao a 1-0 lead.
Coached by Dudu Patetuci, the team continued their relentless attack. Just six minutes later, Dell doubled the lead with a clinical finish, putting Brazil 2-0 up by the 15th minute.
Honduras struggled to cope with Brazil’s speed and ball control, and their defense conceded again in the 19th minute. Angelo delivered a cross that Felipe Morais expertly met to make it 3-0.
Brazil’s dominance persisted until halftime. Dell scored his second goal in stoppage time at 45+4 minutes, assisted by Tiago, leaving Brazil firmly in control at 4-0.
In the second half, Brazil maintained pressure with rapid passing and quick movement. Vitor Hugo extended the lead in the 59th minute, followed by Angelo’s powerful strike in the 74th minute.
The goal fest concluded in the 90th minute when substitute Gabriel Mec converted a pass from Vinicius Rocha, sealing a comprehensive 7-0 victory.
The win sets a strong tone for Brazil’s campaign as they aim to advance from Group H and contend for the 2025 U-17 World Cup title.
