TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe 1.7-kilometer road connecting Boulevard BSD City and Boulevard Gading Serpong, Tangerang, is officially operational. The road construction by developers Paramount Land and Summarecon Serpong integrates three centers of economic and business growth in Tangerang Regency.

Paramount Land Director Norman Daulay said this new connecting road is a commitment of three developers that will indirectly increase economic growth and investment in Tangerang Regency. In addition, it can increase land value in both areas, namely Gading Serpong City and BSD City and its surroundings. "Most importantly, it will provide easy access for residents who live in the area in particular and provide new access for comfortable and safe mobility for the wider community," Norman said in a written statement on Friday, January 10, 2025.

According to him, after passing through a development period of nearly 30 years, the Gading Serpong area has now become a business development center and magnet centric to the surrounding area. Gading Serpong and BSD City are Jabodetabek regional destinations that have developed into national-scale destinations. "To support the increasingly rapid business activities, where the movement of people and commercial activities is also increasing, both towards Gading Serpong City to and from BSD City around it, it is necessary to expand access and connectivity," said Norman.

According to Norman, Paramount Land and Sinar Mas Land, and Summarecon Serpong developed the southern access of Gading Serpong which is directly connected to the BSD City area.  This access road connects Boulevard Raya Gading Serpong ROW 45 with BSD City through the Pasadena-Symphonia Intersection with a distance of approximately 1.70 km, which can be reached from various directions by vehicles with a speed of 40-60 km/hour in 3-5 minutes.

Construction of the project took place from March to December 2024 and will be ready for operation in January 2025. The Gading Serpong ROW 45 and BSD City Boulevard have a total width of 45 meters, where each lane is 13.5 meters wide and consists of four lanes. There is a 4-meter wide roadside shoulder as a pedestrian, landscape, and utility area with a total road median width of 10 meters. This road stretches from the Pasadena - Symphonia intersection to the border with the BSD City area.

Meanwhile, Sinar Mas Land is building a 1,126-meter road connecting the western part of BSD City from EASTVARA to ROW 25, which is planned to be built up to ROW 50.

Sinar Mas Land Deputy Group CEO Strategic Development and Assets Herry Hendarta said this strategic project is an important step in improving accessibility and connectivity between the three largest independent city areas in the Tangerang Regency area. "The initiative to build this connecting road reflects our shared vision for sustainable and community-oriented urban development," Herry said.

The presence of this new road, he said, will make it easier for Gading Serpong residents to go to various residences and tourist attractions in BSD City and vice versa. "We believe this infrastructure will not only improve accessibility but also encourage economic activity in BSD City and Gading Serpong."

Summarecon Serpong Executive Director Albert Luhur added that the collaboration of three well-known developers in the Serpong area in building the BSD City - Gading Serpong ROW 45 Boulevard Connecting Road is in line with Summarecon's mission to create breakthrough urban innovations that can increase economic value.

According to him, this cooperation will further enlarge the scale of the integrated city they have developed in Summarecon Serpong. "Not only that, with this access connectivity, it will also further spur economic growth because all the best facilities in our area can be reached by a wider public, so that the Summarecon Serpong area, which has grown and developed will now also be even more valuable," Albert said.
