TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has announced a list of deputy ministers for the composition of his government's cabinet for the next five years. Prabowo, accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Gerindra's Daily Chair Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, announced the names of the cabinet occupants at the State Palace in Jakarta on Sunday evening, October 20, 2024.
In the announcement, Prabowo called each of his deputy ministers one by one. The deputy ministers appeared wearing batik during the president's announcement.
The majority of deputy minister names that had been previously announced were invited to Prabowo's residence in Kertanegara IV, South Jakarta, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. There were also new names, such as Muhammad Qodari as Deputy Head of the Presidential Staff; and Ni Luh Puspa as Deputy Minister of Tourism.
Prabowo said he would inaugurate his deputy ministers on Monday afternoon, October 21, 2024. In the morning, Prabowo will inaugurate the ministers of the Red and White Cabinet at the State Palace in Jakarta.
"The plan is that tomorrow morning, I will inaugurate the ministers at 10:00 AM local time and in the afternoon, I will inaugurate the deputy ministers," he said on Sunday, October 20, 2024.
