TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer as a suspect in an alleged extortion case involving companies seeking Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) or K3 certification from the Ministry of Manpower.

"The KPK revealed that the K3 certificate tariff is Rp275,000, but in reality, workers have to pay Rp6 million," KPK Chair Setyo Budiyanto said at the KPK Red and White Building on Friday, August 22, 2025.

In addition to Immanuel, also known as Noel, the KPK has named 10 other individuals, bringing the total number of suspects in the case to 11.

This case originated from a sting operation conducted by the KPK on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. The KPK arrested 14 individuals in various locations, including employees of the Ministry of Manpower and private citizens.

During the operation, authorities confiscated 15 cars and seized 7 motorcycles, one of which belonged to Noel. The KPK also seized cash totaling Rp170 million and US$2,201.

Setyo confirmed, "The KPK has found at least two pieces of evidence and has elevated this case to an investigation."
