TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Jasa Marga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division has implemented contraflow traffic measures on the Jagorawi Toll Road heading toward Puncak, West Java, starting at 05:30 AM WIB today, Thursday, April 3, 2025.
Senior Manager Representative Office 1 Alvin Andituahta Singarimbun stated that this contraflow, at the discretion of the police, is enforced from KM 44+500 to KM 46+500.
"In anticipation of the increase in tourist traffic volume and visits on the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Puncak during the 2025 Eid holiday," he said in an official statement on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
Alvin urges road users to plan their travel routes carefully to optimize the implemented traffic measures. He also reminds road users to ensure sufficient electronic card balance before starting their journey to avoid queues at toll gates.
"Always obey traffic signs and follow the instructions of officers on the field," he said.
The Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) has prepared traffic engineering measures for the 2025 Eid return flow, including contraflow and one-way traffic systems.
Chief of the Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, stated that the implementation of these traffic schemes follows the directive of National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
"The expected peak of the return flow is on April 5 or 6, so we must take strategic measures in coordination with all relevant stakeholders to manage traffic effectively," Agus said in a written statement on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
He further explained that contraflow will be applied from KM 70 to KM 47 on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road. If necessary, the contraflow may be extended to KM 36.
"This contraflow implementation will be based on traffic volume assessments, including real-time observations of visibility ratios in the field," he added.
