TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, the Gerindra Party Chair, said President Prabowo Subianto will soon hold the first Cabinet Meeting for his newly inaugurated ministers.
“The plenary meeting is planned for tomorrow (October 23),” he said at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta this morning, Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Dasco, however, stopped short of revealing the agendas for the meeting.
Meanwhile, President Prabowo will gather his ministers at the Military Academy in Magelang, Central Java, on Thursday, October 24. Dasco confirmed that the Red and White Cabinet will gather for three days.
“All I know is they will hold a vision alignment on October 24,” he said.
Since he did not assist in organizing the event, Dasco admitted that he had no idea what Prabowo Subianto would present for his cabinet members. However, Dasco ascertained that the newly inaugurated president would explain which direction to take in the next 100 days.
"Pak Prabowo will lay out the direction to take and necessary programs that the ministers must understand for the next 100 days in office,” Dasco said.
On Monday morning, Prabowo inaugurated the Red and White Cabinet ministers and approved the lineup of deputy ministers.
Today, at the State Palace, the president observed the oath-taking ceremony of the Supreme Court and inaugurated Special Envoys, Special Advisors, Special Staff, and Heads of Agencies.
President Prabowo Subianto said in his inaugural speech that his government would focus on energy self-sufficiency. Amid the tense geopolitical situation, he said, Indonesia must gear up for the worst-case scenarios as other countries rush to secure their own interests.
“At that point, it would be difficult to obtain energy resources from other countries,” he said on Sunday, October 20.
