TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Secretary General of the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) DPP Hasto Kristiyanto accompanied by his attorney Maqdir Ismail during a questioning at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today, Monday, January 13, 2025. The Head of the PDIP DPP for National Legal System Reform, Ronny Talapessy, said that this process only allows one attorney to accompany Hasto.
"The one who accompanies Hasto Kristiyanto is Mr. Maqdir Ismail, because only one person is allowed to accompany him," said Ronny Talapessy when met at the KPK.
Meanwhile, he claimed that there were a thousand lawyers accompanying Hasto in the Harun Masiku case. Ronny said that these lawyers came from various advocate organizations in Indonesia.
"There are a thousand lawyers accompanying Hasto. From various advocate organizations, and also from the Advocacy Legal Aid Agency in Indonesia," he said.
The case that ensnared Hasto is said to have been tested in court. Ronny said this in a case that also dragged Wahyu Setiawan and Agustiani Tio Fridelina which has been tested to the cassation level.
"In the Harun Masiku case, what was accused of Hasto Kristiyanto, this has been tested in court. Through the Wahyu and Tio case which has been final," said Ronny.
He said that at that time the Wahyu and Tio trial did not have any evidence that ensnared Hasto Kristiyanto in the Harun Masiku case. "There is not a single piece of evidence that links Hasto with Harun Masiku. In the trial facts, it is very clear that the money (bribes) came from Harun Masiku," he said.
In this case, KPK Chair Setyo Budiyanto previously said that Hasto arranged and controlled Donny Tri Istiqomah to lobby KPU Member Wahyu Setiawan through PDIP cadre Agustiani Tio Fridelina. He said this in order to be able to determine Harun Masiku as an elected member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from South Sumatra Electoral District I.
Setyo Budiyanto stated that Hasto Kristiyanto together with Harun Masiku, Saeful Bahri, and Donny bribed Wahyu Setiawan and Agustiani Tio Fridelina in the amount of S$19,000 and US$38,350 in the period from December 16, 2019 to December 23, 2019, so that Harun Masiku could be appointed as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2019-2024 period from South Sumatra Electoral District I.
