Tempo.co, Jakarta - Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR), Puan Maharani, expressed her appreciation for the high public satisfaction with the performance of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration during its first 100 days.
"I'd like to commend Pak Prabowo's administration, which, despite being in office for less than 100 days, has already garnered appreciation from the public," said Puan after the opening of the DPR session at the Senayan Parliament Complex on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
Puan, who is also the Chairperson of the Indonesian Democracy Party (PDIP), stated that this public satisfaction, reaching 80.9 percent within the first 100 days, serves as a benchmark for all government institutions to strive for greater excellence in fulfilling their duties.
"This challenges the current administration to work even harder in fulfilling its governance responsibilities," she stated.
The House Speaker called on government agencies to focus on serving the people without letting personal interests interfere. She asserted that this would maximize the results of the Prabowo administration's efforts.
"Therefore, regardless of the outcome, it is ultimately for the people. The goal is to work more efficiently, with greater enthusiasm, and address any shortcomings through thorough evaluations aimed at improving the lives of the people," said Puan.
The survey, conducted by Kompas Research and Development (Litbang Kompas), assessed the 100-day performance of the Prabowo-Gibran administration through face-to-face interviews held from January 4 to 10, 2025. A total of 1,000 respondents were randomly selected using a stratified systematic sampling method across 38 provinces in Indonesia.
The survey, with a confidence level of 95 percent and a margin of error of approximately 3.10 percent, aimed to gauge public satisfaction with the Prabowo-Gibran administration's performance.
Regarding satisfaction levels based on the economic status of respondents, the survey revealed that 84.7 percent of lower-income respondents expressed satisfaction, while 15.3 percent were dissatisfied.
In the lower-middle-income group, 81.4 percent were satisfied, and 18.6 percent were not. Among the upper-middle-income group, 75.3 percent expressed satisfaction, while 24.7 percent were dissatisfied. Finally, 67 percent of respondents from the upper-income group reported satisfaction, with 32.1 percent expressing dissatisfaction. The survey also aimed to gauge the leadership image of Prabowo and Gibran.
