How to Apply for a South Korea Visa in Indonesia

Requirements for making a South Korean visa

As is known, South Korea is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Asia, with a number of interesting attractions for tourists from all over the world, including travelers from Indonesia who come to South Korea for various purposes, from tourism to business needs.

For those of you who are going to South Korea, of course you need to prepare various departure documents. One of the vital documents that must be brought is a Korean visa. Quoted from the Republic of Indonesia Immigration website, here are the document requirements that must be brought when applying for a departure visa to South Korea in Indonesia:

- A visa application form that has been filled out completely. Fill in completely and download it from the South Korean embassy/consulate website, and attach a 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm passport photo

- Original passport valid for more than 6 months

- Photocopy of personal information page on passport and immigration stamp page (if you have been to another country)

- Employment certificate written in English and proof of tax payment or SPT from the previous year for employees

- Business License (SIUP) and SPT from the previous year for entrepreneurs

- Student certificate obtained from the school for students

- For those who have not worked, it is mandatory to attach a graduation certificate from the last school

- Attachment photocopy of ID card (KTP)

- Photocopy of Family Card (KK)

- Original bank statement document for the last 3 months (have obtained proof of wet stamp from the bank)

- If there is no proof of bank statement, it can be replaced by: credit card bills for 3 months, statement letter and accompanied by a photocopy of your car's Vehicle Proof of Ownership Book (BPKB). 

- Proof of Airline Ticket and Accommodation Reservations

- Health certificate

- Criminal record certificate

- Insurance Travel

How to apply for a South Korean visa

- Create an account on the Korea Visa Application Center (KVAC) website at www.visaforkorea-in.com

- Log in and select the type of visa you are applying for

- Fill in the online visa application form

- Upload the required documents

- Pay the visa application fee

- Submit the visa application request

If your visa application is approved, you will be invited to come to KVAC for an interview. During the interview, you will be asked to show the original documents that you have prepared in advance. Wait for the visa to be processed, usually within 9 working days. You can monitor the status of your visa application and submit your Korean visa online through the KVAC website.

Visa types and fees

Quoted from the KVAC website, here are the types of South Korean visas and their fees:

- Single Visa (stay less than 90 days): Rp632,000

- Single Express Visa (stay less than 90 days): Rp1,106,000

- Single Visa (stay more than 91 days): Rp948,000

- Double Visa (can enter Korea 2 times in 6 months): Rp1,106,000

- Double Express Visa (can enter Korea 2 times in 6 months): Rp1,738,000

- Multiple Visa (stay less than or equal to 30 days): Rp1,422,000

- Multiple Express Visa (stay less than or equal to 30 days): Rp2,054,000

Please note, the fee does not include admin fees or KVAC services. The KVAC service fee is Rp240,000 which is paid separately.
