TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) closed today's first trading session, Monday, May 5, 2025, in the green zone. The index strengthened by 0.52 percent to the level of 6,861.5.
PT Samuel Sekuritas Indonesia's Research Team noted that 328 stocks strengthened in the closing of today's first trading session. Meanwhile, 265 stocks weakened and 250 stocks stagnated. The total value of the transactions reached Rp5.6 trillion with a trading frequency of 694,373 times and a trading volume of 129.3 million lots.
"Bank BRI (BBRI) shares became the most actively traded stocks in today's first session, with a transaction frequency of 21,624 times, followed by MBMA with 19,314 times and WIRG 16,991 times," said the Samuel Sekuritas Team in its written statement.
GoTo Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO) shares were the most traded in the first session with a trading volume of 35.5 million lots. Below GOTO, BBKP followed with a trading volume of 10.2 million lots and BUMI 5.5 million lots.
Meanwhile, the basic materials sector index (IDXBASIC) became the sectoral index with the highest increase, reaching 1.4 percent. Next, there was the cyclical consumer sector index (IDXCYCLIC), which strengthened by 1 percent, and the energy sector index (IDXENERGY) with a 0.7 percent increase.
On the other hand, the health sector index (IDXHEALTH) became the deepest declining index in today's first session with a 0.6 percent decrease. Then, followed by the technology sector index (IDXTECHNO), which dropped by 0.2 percent.
The top five gainers in today's first session (based on percentage increase) were:
- JATI (up 34.3 percent to Rp90 per share)
- OPMS (up 30 percent to Rp68 per share)
- HELI (up 25.9 percent to Rp250 per share)
- SOLA (up 23.7 percent to Rp83 per share)
- MLPI (up 16.9 percent to Rp138 per share)
Meanwhile, the top five losers in the first session today (based on percentage decrease) were:
- KONI (down 10.7 percent to Rp1,460 per share)
- NINE (down 9.8 percent to Rp128 per share)
- KARW (down 9.8 percent to Rp1,420 per share)
- MEJA (down 9.2 percent to Rp108 per share)
- SKLT (down 8.2 percent to Rp189 per share)
