TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian U-17 national team player, Evandra Florasta, is among the top four goal scorers in the current standings of the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup. He scored three goals in the group stage to help the Young Garuda squad advance to the quarterfinals as the Group C champions.
Two other players, Minato Yoshida from Japan and Kim Eun-seong, have the same goal tally as Evandra. They are placed behind Uzbekistan's player, Asilbek Aliev, who has now accumulated five goals, after scoring two as his team defeated the United Arab Emirates 3-1 in the quarterfinals.
Evandra is poised to add to his goal collection in the U-17 Asian Cup when Indonesia faces North Korea in the quarterfinals today, Monday, April 14, 2025. Similarly, Kim Eun-seong, as South Korea, will also play the quarterfinal match against Tajikistan on the same day.
About 12 players have recorded two goals. This list includes Fadly Alberto Hengga and Zahaby Gholy from Indonesia. Both have the potential to add to their tally after scoring in their last two group stage matches.
Evandra scored the winning goal for Indonesia against South Korea with a 1-0 victory in the first match. Subsequently, he scored one goal as the Young Garuda squad won against Yemen with a score of 4-1.
Meanwhile, Alberto and Gholy each scored one goal in the victory against Yemen. Afterward, they also contributed one goal in the final group stage match, defeating Afghanistan 2-0.
