Jakarta is ready to host the Formula E (Jakarta E-Prix 2025) at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC), Ancol, Jakarta on June 21. This event will mark the debut of Gen3 Evo, the revolutionary electric racing car capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 1.86 seconds, even faster than a Formula 1 car.

In its 11th season, Gen3 Evo is set to redefine the performance standard of Formula E racing cars. "After successfully hosting the previous edition, Jakarta is once again ready to bring a more thrilling race with the debut of Gen3 Evo," said Project Director of Jakarta E-Prix 2025, Deni Rifky Purwana, in a statement on Wednesday.

With an increased power of 400kW, all-wheel drive for the first time in Formula E history, and a more aggressive aerodynamic design, Gen3 Evo is the fastest accelerating Formula E car ever made. The Gen3 Evo, now equipped with iON Race tires with softer characteristics, allows for faster heating and better peak grip.

This season still emphasizes the design with front wings, wheel fins, and circular thermoplastic wind deflectors that are more environmentally friendly, developed by SABIC. This innovation not only improves aerodynamics but also overall energy efficiency.

"Jakarta E-Prix will be an extraordinary event with the presence of Gen3 Evo that will redefine the limits in electric racing," said Gemma Roura, Project Director Formula E Operations (FEO) for Jakarta E-Prix, Gemma Roura.

"Acceleration like never before, aerodynamic refinements, and all-wheel drive systems will create a more intense and thrilling racing battle," Gemma said.

Jakarta E-Prix 2025 will be a historic event showcasing the world's best electric racing car technology, in line with the vision of a greener and smarter future city.

Fans, media, and global partners are invited to witness history in the making as the most advanced Formula E machines race on the streets of Jakarta.
