TEMPO.CO, JakartaPT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) presented a new subscription service called the "Frequent Whoosher Card" to offer more affordable travel options for frequent users of the Whoosh High-Speed Train. This card allows passengers to enjoy Premium Economy class trips between Halim Station and Padalarang/Tegalluar Summarecon, or vice versa, at a fixed price of Rp175,000 per trip.

Eva Chairunisa, General Manager of Corporate Secretary at KCIC, said the card is a token of appreciation from KCIC to loyal passengers. “This card allows users to enjoy 10 trips in Premium Economy class at a flat rate, even during peak hours or on weekends,” she said in a press release on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

This program is particularly beneficial for individuals with high mobility needs, such as commuters traveling between Jakarta and Bandung. Numerous users have already expressed their satisfaction with this program as it helps their daily routines, especially for frequent long-distance travel.

To acquire a Frequent Whoosher Card, passengers can visit counters located at Halim, Karawang, Padalarang, and Tegalluar Summarecon Stations. Priced at Rp1,750,000, the card provides 10 travel credits valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. Ticket exchanges must be conducted at the counter from 05:30 to 20:30 daily, subject to seat availability.

However, it is important to note that tickets obtained through the Frequent Whoosher Card are non-refundable and non-transferable. Moreover, any unused travel credits after the card's expiration date cannot be refunded.

The Frequent Whoosher Card program has recorded positive performance throughout 2024, with a total of 3,500 cards sold. Sales experienced a surge in November 2024, reaching 900 cards, and as of January 2025, the total number of cards sold has surpassed 3,800.

Recognizing the high public interest in this program, KCIC plans to develop a digital system that will enable passengers to exchange their Frequent Whoosher Card credits online. “KCIC remains committed to providing services that cater to the needs of passengers, for both routine commutes and vacation trips,” concluded Eva.
