TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has spent the last few days seizing dozens of houses in several cities in Jakarta, West Java and East Java. The confiscations are related to the alleged corruption in the acquisition process of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) in 2019-2022.
KPK spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika said the confiscated houses were located in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, among others. "There are four locations there," he said on Wednesday, October 23. The KPK also seized one house each in Bogor and Menteng, Central Jakarta, three in Darmo, Surabaya, and two in Graha Famili Surabaya.
All of these assets were confiscated from Adjie, the owner of PT Jembatan Nusantara Group. In total, KPK investigators have confiscated 15 properties in the form of land and buildings. "For now, the information on the locations is as I said earlier, but there may be additional information that we will update," Tessa said.
On July 18, 2024, the KPK announced that it had launched an investigation into an alleged corruption in the business cooperation and acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) for the period 2019-2022.
The value of the project under investigation by the KPK amounts to Rp1.3 trillion, with an estimated financial loss to the state of Rp1.27 trillion. The exact amount of state losses in this case is still being calculated by the auditor.
As part of the acquisition, PT ASDP is also known to have acquired 53 units of ships.
For investigation purposes, KPK investigators have also coordinated with the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to issue travel bans on four individuals.
