TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - For people who like to travel abroad, preparing travel documents such as passports and visas is a must. Passports serve as a form of identification for Indonesian citizens who wish to travel internationally. Meanwhile, a visa is an official permit granted by a country to allow someone to enter, stay, or leave the country for a certain period of time.
However, not all countries require Indonesian citizens to have a visa before entering their territory. There are dozens of countries that waive visas for Indonesian passport holders, making travel more practical without having to take care of additional documents and pay visa fees.
As reported by the Visa Index website, Indonesian passport holders can visit a total of 80 destinations without having to take care of a visa first. Of these, 46 countries waive visas for Indonesian citizens, while the rest allow visas on arrival or use the Electronic Travel Authority (eTA).
