TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corporate Secretary of PT Waskita Karya, Ermy Puspa Yunita, has revealed that the Light Rail Transit or LRT Jakarta Phase 1B project, spanning Velodrome to Manggarai, is rapidly approaching completion. This is evidenced by the 100 percent connection of the LRT elevated track above the Ir Wiyoto Wiyono Toll Road.
Ermy explained that the installation of the 120-meter girder span across the toll road represents a vital milestone for the Phase 1B construction. "Waskita Karya is grateful that the connection process has been finalized and proceeded smoothly as planned," she stated in an official release on Monday, January 12, 2026.
According to Ermy, the successful track connection also signifies the completion of a continuous elevated rail corridor stretching from Kelapa Gading in North Jakarta to Jalan Pramuka in Central Jakarta. This development links North, East, and Central Jakarta through a unified, integrated elevated rail network designed to alleviate the city's notorious traffic congestion.
Furthermore, several major structures along the corridors of Jalan Pemuda, Jalan Pramuka, Jalan Tambak, and Jalan Sultan Agung have now been joined. Track work has been realized for a total length of 4.7 kilometers. "Meanwhile, architectural and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works are currently underway at several key stops, including the Pramuka BPKP, Pasar Pramuka, Matraman, and Manggarai stations," Ermy added.
Overall, the realization of the Rp4.1 trillion project, owned by PT Jakarta Propertindo, reached 89.22 percent by the end of 2025. With construction entering its final stages, LRT Jakarta Phase 1B is firmly on track to be operational for public commuters by mid-2026.
