TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The number of police officers facing disciplinary action for extorting attendees of the Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) 2024 music festival has risen to 20. At least eighteen police officers have already undergone ethics hearings conducted by the National Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP), with further hearings still ongoing.
Commissioner Choirul Anam of the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) confirmed that the latest ethics hearing was held at Metro Jaya Police today. “Today, two police officers, First Insp. (Iptu) JA and Brigadier HK, underwent ethics hearings at Metro Jaya Police. Both were sentenced to eight years of demotion and 30 days of special placement. Both are currently appealing this decision,” Anam told Tempo on Monday, January 13, 2025.
On Friday, January 10, 2025, the KKEP held ethics hearings for four other police officers, all of whom received demotion sentences: Second Insp. (Ipda) W (eight years), Ipda AS (six years), Adj. Comr. RH (eight years), and Chief Police Brigadier (Bripka) RS (five years).
Based on the results of these hearings, a total of 20 police officers have now been sanctioned for extorting DWP 2024 attendees as of January 13, 2025.

The investigation resulted in the confiscation of Rp2.5 billion in extortion money.
