TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Secretary General of the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) DPP Hasto Kristiyanto (HK) has been at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) office this morning. Hasto will undergo examination as a suspect in the bribery case against former General Election Commission (KPU) Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan and obstruction of investigation in the Harun Masiku corruption case.
"HK is present," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto via text message, Monday, January 13, 2025.
Hasto's examination today is based on a summons from the KPK to be questioned as a suspect, which was originally scheduled for January 6, 2025. However, Hasto was not present at that time because he had to attend a series of events for the PDIP's anniversary so the anti-corruption agency rescheduled the examination of the Secretary General.
The KPK has named Hasto as a suspect in the bribery case against former General Election Commission (KPU) Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan. Hasto was said to have been involved in giving bribes to pass Harun Masiku as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2019-2024 period from the interim replacement (PAW) route.
Hasto Kristiyanto was named a suspect after the handover of the KPK leadership position from the previous period to the new period on December 20, 2024.
