TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The first Pokemon life simulation game, Pokemon Pokopia, will be released on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. According to the official Pokemon.com page on September 14th, as reported by Antara, players are asked to shape an empty landscape into a suitable home for a number of Pokemon. Players must conquer the wilderness, plant crops, and use the classic moves of the pocket monsters.
Playing as Ditto, a popular Pokemon, players can transform into a human and go about their daily lives. Activities include collecting wood, stone, and other crafts to create a comfortable home.
Ditto can learn moves from other Pokemon and then use them to help build a "paradise" for these fantasy creatures. For example, Ditto can use Bulbasaur's leafage to add greenery to the landscape, or use Squirtle's water gun to water plants. By creating a lush and welcoming environment, more and more Pokemon will visit.
"Enjoy a peaceful life as you craft furniture, grow vegetables, and create a home for yourself and your Pokémon," reads the promotional quote on the official Pokémon game page.
This new Pokemon spin-off is currently in development. Its appearance is very different from other games based on the classic cartoon franchise. The game's visuals will resemble a mix of Minecraft structures with the cute characters and feel of Pokémon.
