TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian president Prabowo Subianto led a limited cabinet meeting via video conference from London, England, on Monday, January 19, 2026, with several members of the Merah Putih Cabinet joining online from Jakarta.
Cabinet members participating remotely included Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Agrarian and Spatial Planning Minister/Head of the National Land Agency Nusron Wahid, Law Minister Supratman Andi Agtas, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) Muhammad Yusuf Ateh.
In London, Prabowo was accompanied by Foreign Minister Sugiono, Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
The meeting focused on the progress of the Task Force for Forest Area Regulation, established by President Prabowo in January 2025.
"The meeting discussed the progress of the Task Force for Forest Area Regulation, which was established by President Prabowo since January 2025, or two months after he was inaugurated as the President of the Republic of Indonesia," wrote Teddy on the Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet, on Monday.
Currently, Prabowo is on a series of working visits abroad. He arrived at London Stansted Airport on Sunday, January 18, 2026, and was welcomed by Deputy Lieutenant of Essex Mark Bevan, Foreign Secretary's Special Representative Adele Taylor MBE, Indonesian Ambassador to the UK Desra Percaya, UK Ambassador to Indonesia Dominic Jermey, and Indonesian Defense Attaché Wiyata S. Aji.
During his stay in the UK, Prabowo is scheduled to meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and King Charles III. Following his visit to England, he will travel to Switzerland to deliver a speech at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.
According to the WEF’s official schedule, Prabowo’s special address is set for Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 02:00 PM to 02:30 PM local time, where he will share the stage with WEF President and CEO Børge Brende.
