TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto, Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, will host the leaders of the coalition parties grouped in the Onward Indonesia Coalition (KIM) in Hambalang, West Java, on Friday, February 14, 2025. This gathering will take place amid events commemorating the ruling party's 17th anniversary. Prabowo has extended invitations to the political party leaders for this event.

Sarmuji, Secretary General of the Golkar Party, confirmed that the invitation he received indicates the meeting's theme is national unity and friendship. "The agenda is national unity and friendship," he said on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

Sarmuji claimed that he was only aware of the meeting simply to foster national unity and friendship. He also expressed his belief that the gathering aims to build solidarity for the nation's progress.

In addition to the KIM party leaders, Gerindra had previously announced plans to invite former presidents, including the 5th President, Megawati Soekarnoputri, and the 7th President, Joko "Jokowi" Widodo, to the Gerindra anniversary's peak event.

Ahmad Muzani, Secretary General of the Gerindra Party, stated that their party would invite all political party chairpersons, including former presidents, to the event. "We will invite all leaders of political parties, especially chairpersons. God willing," he said at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on February 3, 2025.
