TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Mount Bromo area is one of the tourist destinations that has experienced an increase in admission ticket prices starting from October 30, 2024. This policy refers to Government Regulation Number 36 of 2024 concerning Types and Rates of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) applicable at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
The Head of the Administrative Section of TNBTS BB, Septi Eka Wardhani, said that the implementation of the rate adjustment followed Government Regulation (PP) Number 36 of 2024. "It is true that there is an adjustment in the admission ticket prices in the national park area with the issuance of PP 36 of 2024," said Septi in Malang City, East Java, on Thursday, October 24, 2024, as quoted by Antara.
In addition to complying with government regulations, the adjustment of the new ticket prices also aims to meet the needs of improving facilities and maintaining the Bromo area, which indirectly involves tourists in preserving this natural beauty. Septi stated that the regulations regarding ticket prices apply not only to the TNBTS area but also to national parks and nature tourism areas throughout Indonesia.
"This applies to all National Parks and Nature Tourism Areas in Indonesia. We are obliged to follow these rules," she said.
Furthermore, the Minister of Tourism, Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, said she would further investigate the case of the increase in tourist attraction rates. After a press conference in Jakarta on Sunday, November 3, 2024, Widiyanti revealed that she would also meet with the Minister of Environment to discuss the matter.
The rates for flying drones in tourist attractions have also increased from around Rp300,000 to up to Rp2 million per unit.
The Mount Bromo area is one of the tourist destinations that has experienced an increase in drone flying rates, especially at the caldera location (sea of sand and savanna) which is a favorite spot for tourists to capture moments by flying drones.
Starting from Wednesday, October 30, 2024, the rate for flying drones in the Mount Bromo area has now reached Rp2 million. In addition to drones, the fee for the use of camera equipment for commercial video production in Bromo has also been adjusted, reaching Rp10 million for Indonesian citizens and Rp20 million for foreign nationals.
Based on Announcement Letter Number: PG.08/T.8/TU/KSA.5.1/B/10/2024, it is explained that the decision to adjust ticket prices is implemented to comply with the provisions of Law Number 9 of 2018 concerning Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) and PP Number 36 of 2024 concerning Types and Rates of PNBP applicable at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
The latest ticket price for entry into the Mount Bromo area and its surroundings for domestic tourists is Rp54,000 per day on weekdays.
