During the Songkran celebration, the island offers a variety of events, from solemn honor ceremonies to vibrant parades and water zones enlivened by DJs. Here are the Songkran events in Phuket, as reported by The Nation.

1. Songkran Ban Chan: Kebaya & Pateh Festival

It takes place from April 12th to 13th in Old Town Phuket, Talad Yai, Muang district. It starts with the iconic Songkran Kebaya Parade, celebrating local and global cultural heritage. The event also features traditional Songkran traditions, including alms-giving, bathing Buddha statues, and seeking blessings from elders. Additionally, cultural and contemporary performances, as well as stalls selling cultural items, are included.

2. Central Phuket Songkran Carnival 2025

The Central Phuket Songkran Carnival 2025 is held on April 11-14, 2025, at the Phuket Outdoor Arena, Floresta Wing, Central Phuket. The event is animated by spectacular light, sound, and water shows, with live performances by popular artists and DJs including Retrospect, Meentra, Getsunova, DJ Ampkilla, Supertoey, P-Hot, Mocca Garden, and Pae MVL.

3. Songkran Phuket Alcohol-Free 2025

If you want to experience an alcohol-free Songkran festival, come on April 13, 2025, to Dibuk Road, in front of Limelight Avenue. Food and beverage stalls at this event comply with the alcohol-free policy. In addition to music and DJ performances, the Buddha bathing ritual is also enlivened with a live performance by Aof Pongsak.

4. 10th Phuket Water Festival 2025 "Water Way, Thai Way"

Themed "Water Way, Thai Way," this festival is held on April 12-13, 2025, at Queen Sirikit 72nd Anniversary Park (Dragon Park), Soi Romanee, Old Town Phuket. Tourists can experience the Songkran atmosphere by wearing traditional Kebaya clothing and strolling in the beautiful city park. Then, enjoy street food, handicrafts, and immersive photo opportunities with a 360 photo booth. On April 13, the Thai New Year begins with a charitable act of giving alms to monks at Wat Mai Khao.

5. Patong Songkran Celebration 2025

Patong Beach is also a place to celebrate Songkran in Phuket. Tourists can participate in traditional celebrations and enjoy music performances. For two days, April 12-13, 2024, there will be traditional Thai folk music and drum shows, DJ sets, water fights, alms-giving, and parental blessing ceremonies.
