
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that most areas of Jakarta will potentially experience light rain on Wednesday, especially from morning to afternoon, with varying weather conditions in several areas.
In the morning, almost all of Jakarta is forecast to experience light rain, except for the Thousand Islands, which will be cloudy, with temperatures ranging from 26–29 degrees Celsius, humidity ranging from 74–86 percent, and wind speeds ranging from 3–10.5 km per hour.
As the afternoon approaches, light rain will continue in most areas. Meanwhile, South Jakarta has the potential for moderate rain.
The Thousand Islands are forecast to be partly cloudy, with temperatures ranging from 27–29 degrees Celsius and humidity ranging from 75–79 percent.
Wind speeds during the day will range from 2.5–13.1 km per hour, reflecting atmospheric dynamics that continue to support the formation of rain clouds over land areas of Jakarta and its surroundings throughout the period.
In the afternoon, weather conditions in Jakarta will be generally cloudy, with temperatures ranging from 25–28 degrees Celsius, humidity of 78–89 percent, and wind speeds between 3.5 and 11.6 km per hour.
As the evening approaches, cloudy skies are forecast to persist across Jakarta, with temperatures remaining in the range of 25–28 degrees Celsius and humidity increasing to 78–92 percent.
Wind speeds during the night are predicted to range from 1.6–13.4 km per hour, indicating relatively stable atmospheric conditions with no significant potential for extreme weather in the capital.
Meanwhile, early Thursday, April 2nd, 2026, Jakarta is forecast to remain cloudy, except for the Thousand Islands, which have the potential for light rain, with temperatures ranging from 24–26 degrees Celsius and humidity of 85–96 percent.
Wind speeds in the early morning will range from 2 to 4.6 km per hour, complementing the weather pattern that tends to be humid and cloudy across most of Jakarta and its surrounding areas.
