TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that Jakarta will experience light rain from Tuesday afternoon to evening.
A BMKG statement on its Instagram account, as reported in Jakarta on Tuesday, stated that five of the six regions in Jakarta will be covered by thick clouds on Tuesday morning: West, East, Central, North, and South Jakarta, while the Seribu Islands Regency will experience light rain.
The thick clouds that hung over Jakarta in the morning will change to light rain from noon to evening, except for the Seribu Islands Regency, which will see thick clouds.
Meanwhile, almost all of Jakarta is forecast to be covered by thick clouds in the evening, except for East and North Jakarta, which will see light rain.
Light rain is known to drop less than 2.5 mm of water per hour, while moderate rain brings 5-10 mm of water per hour.
On the same day, wind speeds were 8-11 kilometers per hour, except for the Seribu Islands (Thousand Islands) Regency which reached 15 km per hour with temperatures ranging from 24 to 30 degrees Celsius.
