TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - South Korean singer and leader of the popular girl group Girls’ Generation, Taeyeon, will embark on a new concert tour ‘The Tense’ this year. She is set to perform in Jakarta on April 12, 2025, at Indonesia Arena.
On January 7, 2025, Taeyeon released a poster for her upcoming tour on Instagram, which will feature concerts across East and Southeast Asia.
Citing NME, Taeyeon’s tour announcement arrives less than two months after she released her sixth solo mini-album, Letter To Myself. Led by the single of the same name, the record came after her previous mini-album ‘To.X’ in 2023.
The 35-year-old K-pop star will kick off her tour in March, performing a three-day concert at South Korea’s KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea, on March 7-9, 2025.
Following the Seoul dates, she will head to Taiwan and the Philippines in the same month, where she's set to perform in Taipei on the 16th, and in Manila on March 29.
In April, the singer of ‘INVU’ and ‘11:11’ will fly to Jakarta and Macau before heading to Singapore and Bangkok to perform two-day concerts on May 3-4 and May 31 and June 1, respectively. Taeyeon will conclude her Asian tour on June 7 with a concert in Hong Kong.
According to Channel News Asia, the ticketing details for Taeyeon’s Asia tour will be announced at a later date. The upcoming show marks her first return to Indonesia, more than a year after her last concert, ‘The Odd of Love’ in July 2023.
Taeyeon debuted in 2007 as a member of K-pop group Girls’ Generation with the song ‘Into the New World.’ The group gradually released a steady stream of hit songs such as ‘Gee’, ‘Genie’, and ‘The Boys,’ which catapulted them to a global success.
In 2015, Taeyeon became the first of the group to have a solo debut with the song ‘I’ and an extended play (EP) of the same name.
