TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian U-17 national team concluded a series of three friendly matches in the United Arab Emirates with a draw. On Thursday night, October 30, 2025, at Al Hamriyah Stadium, Nova Arianto's squad played to a 1-1 draw in the final match against Panama.
Panama took the lead with a goal in the 41st minute of the first half. However, Young Garuda rose in the second half and equalized through a goal by I Putu Panji in the 61st minute. The score remained 1-1 until the final whistle was blown.
This result completes Indonesia's record during the training camp and friendly matches in Dubai, with two draws and one defeat. Earlier, the U-17 national team tied the Ivory Coast 0-0 and lost to Paraguay 2-1.
The three matches were part of the preparation for the 2025 U-17 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar from November 3 to 27. In the tournament, M. Zahaby Gholy and his teammates are grouped in Group H alongside Brazil, Honduras, and Zambia.
Forty-eight teams from six confederations are competing in the 2025 edition of the tournament, which is divided into 12 groups (A-L), with four teams in each group. The top two teams from each group automatically qualify for the knockout stage, while the top eight third-placed teams also advance to the knockout phase.
