TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said that the parade of dozens of robots on the 79th Bhayangkara Day was a form of preparation by the Indonesian National Police (Polri). He believes that it is inevitable that the police will use robots.
"The robots that were displayed yesterday are currently under trial. In the future, in a modern country, the police will be assisted by robots. Of course, we are also preparing," Listyo said when approached at the Universitas Negeri Jakarta on Sunday, July 6, 2025.
The National Police Chief stated that Polri will continue to perfect the use of robots for institutional needs. However, the process until the implementation of robots for police duties is still quite lengthy.
Polri showcased a four-legged robot, also known as a K9 robot, during the 79th Bhayangkara Anniversary Parade at the National Monument in Central Jakarta on July 1, 2025. One unit of the K9 robot is sold at a price of tens of millions to nearly Rp3 billion.
One of the robot providers exhibited during Bhayangkara's anniversary is PT Ezra Robotics Teknologi. President Director of Ezra Robotics, Dhanisakka Vardhana, refused to disclose the price of one unit of the robot developed by his company. However, he explained that the robots are from the robot manufacturing companies Deep Robotics and Unitree.
The types of robots deployed by Ezra Robotics during the Bhayangkara Anniversary include the X30 Pro and Lite-3 Pro from Deep Robotics, as well as the Go2 Pro Edu from Unitree. Dhanisakka said the price per unit of the robot can be seen on the respective company's website. "The prices are open for viewing," he said in a written message to Tempo on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
