TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Majid Khademi, the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence organization in Iran, was killed in an attack launched by the United States (US) and Israel.
The IRGC stated on Monday, as quoted by Fars news agency and reported by Antara, that "The head of the IRGC's intelligence organization, Majid Khademi, died this morning as a result of an American-Zionist attack during the third imposed war."
Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei referred to Khademi's death as a result of the 'failure' of the US and Israel on the battlefield.
Khademi's martyrdom will not weaken the Iranian armed forces, he emphasized.
"Murder and crime cannot shake selfless aspirations," Khamenei said in a message regarding Khademi's death.
The Iranian supreme leader stated that the US and Israel have "experienced a series of defeats in the imposed war on the Iranian nation, and have failed to carry out their evil plans."
