TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The chair of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Jakarta, Wahyu Dinata, said the gubernatorial inauguration for Pramono Anung and Rano Karno is scheduled for February 7, 2025.
According to Wahyu, the schedule refers to Presidential Regulation No. 80 of 2024 about regional heads inauguration. “We’re still awaiting for possible changes in schedule from the central government,” Wahyu said when met at the Pullman Hotel, West Jakarta, Thursday, January 9, 2025.
The Jakarta KPU head said the gubernatorial inauguration will be carried out by the president or the central government.
After the declaration naming Pramono Anung as elected governor of Jakarta and Rano Karno as deputy governor, Jakarta KPU will submit the results to the regional representative council to expedite the inaugural process. The election commission plans to submit the results today, January 10.
The declaration was conducted on Thursday, January 9, after a plenary meeting at the Pullman Hotal, West Jakarta. “Candidate Pair Number 3, Pramono Anung and Rano Karno, is hereby declared the Elected Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta Province for the 2025-2030 term,” declared Wahyu at the Pullman Hotel on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
Wahyu further stated that the candidate pair, supported by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) and the People's Conscience Party (Hanura), secured a decisive victory with 2,183,239 votes, representing 50.07 percent of the total valid votes.
This declaration was formalized through the issuance of KPU Jakarta Decree Number 9 of 2025 on the determination of the elected Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta for the 2024 election.
