TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Jasa Marga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division revealed that there was a significant increase in traffic volume at several main toll gates on D+3 of New Year 2025, Saturday, January 4, 2025. The traffic spike occurred in both the Jabodetabek (Greater Jakarta) and West Java areas, indicating high public mobility during the long holiday.
Jabotabek Traffic Volume
There was an increase in traffic volume returning to Jabodetabek from the Cikampek and Puncak directions distributed through the Halim Toll Gate (GT), Cikunir 6 and Ciawi 2 Toll Gates. The total was recorded at 117,683 vehicles or an increase of 7.26 percent compared to the normal transaction traffic volume of 109,718 transaction vehicles, while the traffic volume to Puncak from the direction of Jakarta, was recorded to have decreased compared to normal daily traffic, here are the details;
1. Halim GT (Jakarta Direction)
Traffic volume was recorded at 62,565 vehicles, down slightly by 2.41 percent from the normal 64,110 vehicles.
2. GT Cikunir 6 (Towards Jakarta)
The volume increased sharply by 57.02 percent with a total of 12,967 vehicles compared to the normal 8,258 vehicles.
3. GT Ciawi 1 (Towards Puncak) and GT Ciawi 2 (Towards Jakarta)
At GT Ciawi 1, 44,136 vehicles were recorded passing, slightly down 0.84 percent from the normal 44,511 vehicles. Meanwhile, GT Ciawi 2 recorded 42,151 vehicles, a significant increase of 12.85 percent compared to the normal 37,350 vehicles.
West Java Traffic Volume
In the West Java region, a total of 73,326 vehicles were recorded heading to Bandung and its surroundings, an increase of 27.33 percent from the normal volume of 57,586 vehicles. Conversely, vehicles leaving Bandung for Jakarta also experienced an increase. Here are the details;
1. GT Cileunyi (Padaleunyi Toll Road)
Vehicles leaving Bandung via GT Cileunyi reached 37,055 vehicles, up 23.60 percent from the normal 29,979 vehicles. Conversely, 35,016 vehicles headed to Bandung, up 13.86 percent from the normal 30,753 vehicles.
2. GT Pasteur (Padaleunyi Toll Road)
Vehicles heading to Bandung via GT Pasteur were recorded at 36,271 vehicles, up 31.38 percent compared to the normal 27,607 vehicles. Vehicles leaving Bandung via this gate reached 33,777 vehicles, up 5.92 percent from the normal 31,888 vehicles.
In addition, the functional lanes at KM 149 A and KM 151 A of the Padaleunyi Toll Road. The functional route KM 149 A has been used by 37,075 vehicles since it was operated on December 20, 2024. Meanwhile, KM 151 A, which began operating on December 27, 2024, has been used by 2,627 vehicles.
