TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Lion Group has officially opened Lion Hub Halim, its newest distribution center and logistics facility in Halim Perdanakusuma, East Jakarta.

The hub features a Temporary Storage Area (TPS), cross-docking services, and a Regulated Agent (RA) in a single location, offering integrated logistics solutions to ensure smooth deliveries and strengthen the group’s distribution network across Indonesia.

Covering 6,000 square meters, Lion Hub Halim is designed to optimize logistics operations from the first mile through the last mile. Lion Parcel CEO Farian Kirana said the facility can handle up to 150 tons of packages per day, supported by its large capacity and multi-gate loading docks.

He described the inauguration as a strategic move to meet growing logistics demand, reflecting the company’s commitment to improving service quality and providing comprehensive logistics solutions.

From the first and last mile perspective, the hub serves as a key distribution point for East Jakarta and surrounding areas. Its location, which is just five minutes from the Trans-Java Toll Road and three minutes from the airport, supports middle-mile operations and strengthens multimodal connectivity via land, sea, and air transport.

The facility includes integrated X-ray machines and RA systems for cargo inspections before entering the airport, helping to speed up processes and reduce queues. Lion Group plans to expand this technology to its warehouses in other cities.

The TPS provides temporary storage for goods before shipment, offering flexibility for cargo agents, manufacturers, pharmaceuticals, marketplaces, and SMEs, while also streamlining consolidation and distribution.

According to Farian, integrating the RA, TPS, and multi-gate loading docks enables faster, more efficient distribution through multiple transportation modes, aligning with the group’s goal of building a connected logistics ecosystem from storage to delivery.

Lion Hub Halim operates with a digital-based system that provides automatic, real-time shipping updates, allowing customers to track sorting and delivery progress. Farian noted that the hub is part of the Lion Group’s long-term strategy to expand its infrastructure and operational networks to boost competitiveness in the national logistics industry.

Founded in 2013, Lion Parcel is a logistics company under the Lion Air Group, offering first-, middle-, and last-mile delivery services for domestic and international shipments.

Leveraging the network and infrastructure of Indonesia’s leading airline, its services now reach 98% of the country and more than 50 countries across five continents.

The company has thousands of agents, delivery couriers, and a fleet supported by hundreds of Lion Group aircraft, with a commitment to connecting people without limitations of time or distance, while providing affordable, safe, and reliable services.
