List of 17 Stadiums Inaugurated by Prabowo, Costing Rp1.74 Trillion in Construction Funds

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto has recently inaugurated 17 stadiums simultaneously across Indonesia, which were built and renovated by the government, at Gelora Delta Stadium Sidoarjo, East Java, Monday afternoon, March 17, 2025.

In the inauguration, Prabowo stated, "In the name of Allah, today on Monday, the 17th of March, 2025, I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, hereby inaugurate the renovation and construction of 17 stadiums in Indonesia which have been completed."

The construction and renovation project was carried out by the Ministry of Public Works since 2023 with a total expenditure reaching Rp1.74 trillion. This renovation is part of the government's commitment to improve the quality of soccer infrastructure in Indonesia, while also supporting the development of national sports.

The Chair of the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) Erick Thohir stated that the renovation of 17 stadiums across Indonesia has met FIFA standards. "This inauguration is not only for the inauguration of sports facilities but also to build the nation's character through soccer," said Erick.

After being built and renovated, these 17 stadiums will be handed over to their respective local governments, and will be used to host national team matches or Liga 1.

Here are the 17 stadiums:

1. Bumi Sriwijaya Stadium, Palembang City, South Sumatra

This stadium has stood since 1972 and has been used for the South Sumatra National Games (PON) 2004, Islamic Solidarity Games 2013, Asian Games 2018, and become the home of PS Palembang and Sriwijaya FC U-21.

2. Indomilk Arena Stadium, Tangerang Regency, Banten

Formerly known as Benteng Taruna Stadium, this stadium was built in 2014 and completed in 2018. The stadium was used as the host for the final round of the 2024/2025 National League. Persita and Dewa United have previously been based at this stadium.

3. Pakansari Stadium, Bogor Regency, West Java;

This stadium began construction in 1996, but the process was halted in 1998 due to the monetary crisis, then it was rebuilt in 2012 and completed in 2016. The stadium has been used for the semi-finals and finals of the AFF Cup 2016, the 2023 AFC U-17 Championship, and PON West Java. Persikabo has regularly used this stadium since competing in Liga 1.

4. Wibawa Mukti Stadium, Bekasi Regency, West Java;

Built in 2012, the stadium hosted the West Java Regional Sports Week (PORDA) 2014 and PON 2016, and has also hosted the West Java Regional Sports Week IV 2014 and the 2018 Asian Games.

5. Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi City, West Java;

This stadium was built in 1980 to host the West Java Regional Sports Week (PORDA) IV. It was renovated in 2012 to accommodate 30,000 spectators and inaugurated in 2014. This stadium has been the venue for national and international championships, such as PON 2016, Asian Games 2018, 2023 AFC U-19 Championship, and the 2022 AFF U-22 Championship. The stadium is home to Bekasi City FC and Persipasi Bekasi, and is often used by Persija.

6. Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung City, West Java

Formerly known as Gedebage Stadium, construction of the stadium began in 2003 and officially opened in 2013. Persib Bandung previously used GBLA before moving to Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, but now Maung Bandung regularly plays at GBLA Stadium.

7. Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta

This stadium was built by the Sleman Regency Government in 2005 and inaugurated in 2006. The Indonesian U-16 National Team has a sweet history here, winning the 2022 AFF U-16 Championship. This stadium is the home of PSS Sleman.

8. Jatidiri Stadium, Semarang City, Central Java;

Built in 1991 and inaugurated in the same year, the stadium previously hosted the final of the 2023/2024 Liga 3 and the final of the 2024/2025 Liga 4. The stadium is the home of PSIS.

9. Gelora Bumi Kartini Stadium, Jepara Regency, Central Java

The Gelora Bumi Kartini Stadium was built in 2006. This stadium is the home ground of the Liga 2 club, Persijap Jepara.

10. Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang Regency, East Java

Built in 1997, the stadium hosted its first competitive match between Arema and PSS Sleman. The stadium was in the spotlight due to riots in October 2022 after the match between Arema and Persebaya. The stadium became Arema's home ground after no longer playing at the Gajayana Stadium, Malang.

11. Surajaya Stadium, Lamongan Regency, East Java

Built in 1967, this stadium is the home of the Liga 2 club, Persela Lamongan.

12. Gelora Delta Stadium, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java

Built in 2000, the stadium has been used to host the 2000 PON, the 2006 Indonesian Cup final, the 2007 Indonesian Cup opening, the 2023 AFF U-19 Championship, as well as the semi-finals and finals of the 2014 Indonesian Premier Division.

This stadium is the home of Deltras FC which is currently in Liga 2, and has also been used by Bhayangkara FC and Persebaya.

13. Gelora Madura Ratu Pamelingan Stadium, Pamekasan Regency, East Java

The stadium was inaugurated in 2016 by Pamekasan Regent Ahmad Syafii and has been the home of Madura United since 2017.

14. Joko Samudro Stadium, Gresik Regency, East Java

The stadium was built from 2012 to 2017 and has hosted the 2018 AFF U-19 Championship and the 2018 AFF U-18 Championship. The Liga 2 club Gresik United often hosts home matches at this stadium.

15. Demang Lehman Stadium, Banjar Regency, SouthKalimantan

The stadium was inaugurated in 2013 and hosted the 2013 South Kalimantan Provincial Sports Week. Barito Putera often hosts its opponents from Liga 1 at this stadium, after no longer being based at the 17 May Stadium in Banjarmasin.

16. Segiri Stadium, Samarinda City, East Kalimantan

Built from 1960-1970, the stadium was used as the host for the 2008 PON. The Liga 1 club Borneo FC uses this stadium as its home ground.

17. B. J. Habibie Stadium, Parepare City, South Sulawesi.

Officially used in 2001, the stadium has hosted various championships such as the Habibie Cup, the Indonesian Cup, the Indonesian League Division one, and Liga 1. The Liga 1 club PSM Makassar uses this stadium as its home ground.
