TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto asked the Indonesian people to give his cabinet a chance to carry out its duties. He said this while giving a speech at the National Christmas celebration at the Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno Complex, Jakarta on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

"I ask for a moment, be patient. Give us a chance to work hard," said Prabowo, monitored from the Presidential Secretariat YouTube, on Sunday, December 29, 2024.

Prabowo admitted that he was optimistic about the performance of the Red and White Cabinet during his leadership. Because, according to him, the data shows that his vision and mission can be realized. Especially with the gifts given by God to the Indonesian nation. "I'll be honest, I'm proud of the team that helps me," he said.

Since being inaugurated on October 20, Prabowo said that his performance with the cabinet ranks has been quite good. Although, he said, during the two months of his leadership there have been many obstacles.

"There are some people here and there who are being fried. Yes, that's it. We're used to it," said the head of state.

According to Prabowo, such obstacles have no effect on his seriousness in working. He said that the people should already know if the government has acted correctly in working. "The people understand who is right, who is making things up. The people understand, right?" he said.

This year's National Christmas celebration carries the theme "Let Us Go to Bethlehem Now". Prabowo arrived at the 2024 Christmas celebration accompanied by a number of his cabinet members.
