Prabowo's Cabinet Ministers Directly Monitor Free Nutritious Meal Program on First Day

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Several ministers of the Red and White Cabinet directly monitor the first day of the distribution of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program. The ministers of President Prabowo Subianto's cabinet directly review several public kitchens and schools where the program start today, on Monday, January 6, 2025.

Head of the Presidential Communications Office Hasan Nasbi said the ministers will monitor the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi (Jabodetabek) area. In addition, they will also review the implementation of the program in Karawang and Bandung in West Java Province.

Hasan Nasbi said the ministers directly monitored the distribution of the free meals to support its implementation by the National Nutrition Agency. "As an initial marker of the implementation of the free nutritious meal program, several cabinet members will also be present at several points," he said in a statement on Sunday, January 5, 2025 as reported by Antara.

One of the ministers who will directly review the distribution of Free Nutritious Meals is Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid. The Golkar Party politician is scheduled to attend the distribution of Free Nutritious Meals in Depok. Meutya will visit SDN Cilangkap 5 Depok and SDN Cilangkap 3 Depok in Depok City, West Java. She will also review the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) or public kitchen in the city.

Meanwhile, Minister of Cooperatives Budi Arie Setiadi is scheduled to review the Free Nutritious Meal public kitchen in the Halim Perdanakusuma area, East Jakarta. Budi Arie will also monitor the distribution at SD 05 Halim, Halim Perdanakusuma.

In addition to the ministers, a number of deputy ministers will also review the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal program on the first day. Among them are Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto who will visit SPPG Bina Insani and Bosowa Bina Insani School in Bogor City, West Java. Bima is a former Mayor of Bogor.

Deputy Minister of Social Affairs Agus Jabo also reviewed the implementation of Free Nutritious Meals at SPPG Palmerah, Jakarta. In addition, Deputy Minister of Population Isyana Bagoes Oka and Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Atip Latipulhayat are scheduled to review the implementation of Free Nutritious Meals at the public kitchen located in Bojong Koneng, Karawang, West Java. Meanwhile, the Head of the Presidential Communications Office Hasan Nasbi is scheduled to visit the public kitchen or SPPG Tanah Sareal, Bogor City, West Java.
