TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta General Elections Commission (KPU Jakarta) has officially declared candidate pair number three, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno, as the elected Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta for the 2025-2030 term, succeeding Anies Baswedan and Ahmad Riza Patria.
This declaration was made during a plenary meeting held at the Pullman Hotel in West Jakarta on Thursday, January 9, 2025. KPU Jakarta Chairman, Wahyu Dinata, formally announced the election results following the signing of the official minutes by all commissioners.
“Candidate Pair Number 3, Pramono Anung and Rano Karno, is hereby declared the Elected Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta Province for the 2025-2030 term,” declared Wahyu at the Pullman Hotel on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
Wahyu further stated that the candidate pair, supported by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) and the People's Conscience Party (Hanura), secured a decisive victory with 2,183,239 votes, representing 50.07 percent of the total valid votes.
This declaration was formalized through the issuance of KPU Jakarta Decree Number 9 of 2025 on the determination of the elected Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta for the 2024 election.
Meanwhile, the gubernatorial and deputy gubernatorial candidates from the Advanced Indonesia Coalition or KIM Plus, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono, garnered 1,718,160 votes, representing 39.40 percent of the total votes. The independent candidate pair, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana, secured 459,230 votes, accounting for 10 percent of the total votes.
Dharma Pongrekun and Kun Wardana Abyoto also attended the plenary meeting. However, only Suswono, the running mate of candidate Ridwan Kamil, was present to represent the Advanced Indonesia Coalition or KIM Plus, as the latter was unable to attend as he was out of town, according to his spokesperson Juwanda.
