The Cleveland Browns will name Joe Flacco as the team's starting quarterback for their Week 1 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Flacco has reportedly won the Browns crowded preseason quarterback battle, with the most-experienced signal caller vying for the job winning it.
The 40-year-old beat out Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, Shedeur Sanders, and Tyler Huntley to get the first snaps against the Bengals, per ESPN.
The Browns have had arguably the most-watched preseason quarterback competition in the league with incumbent Deshaun Watson out for the season with an injury.
Now, with Flacco slated as QB1, at least to begin what should be a tough season for the Browns, where the rest of the quarterbacks fall, including the rollercoaster journey for Sanders, will come into focus.
According to CBS analyst Pete Prisco, Sanders may be a free agent soon.

Flacco beat out Shedeur Sanders and three other signal callers for the coveted roster spot
'What if they decided they wanted to get rid of one of the rookies? And the rookie that they probably get rid of will be the one that they took in the fifth round,' Prisco said, referring to Sanders, who was drafted two rounds after Gabriel's third-round selection.
'And if that's the case, is there a market out there for him, or is he going to be on somebody's practice squad, or maybe even on the Browns practice squad?'
Sanders may not be the only quarterback of the group to not be affiliated with Cleveland much longer.
'Pickett would probably be the guy that would be cut or traded because if you look at it, you have a veteran and you have two young quarterbacks, guys you want to look at down the road if Flacco doesn't make it work early in the season,' Prisco added.
'So I think ideally, in that scenario, they would try and get something for Pickett. I don't know if you will, but I don't think they'll keep be both veterans and both rookie quarterbacks. It just doesn't make sense.'
