TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Singapore-based airline Calypte Holding Pte. Ltd., through its subsidiary PT Indonesia Airlines Group (INA), has officially received approval to operate as of March 7, 2025.
According to Iskandar, CEO of Indonesia Airlines and Executive Chairperson of Calypte Holding Pte. Ltd., INA will be Indonesia’s first commercial airline exclusively serving international routes.
“Based on our business plan and feasibility study, Indonesia Airlines will focus entirely on international flights,” Iskandar stated on the airline’s LinkedIn page on Sunday, March 9, 2025.
2. Indonesia to Mobilize Pro Chefs to Train Cooks for Free Meal Program
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia is set to deploy professional chefs to train cooks for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) or the Free Meal program. Minister of Creative Economy and Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, stated that his ministry is partnering with the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to support President Prabowo Subianto’s flagship initiative.
Riefky emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Creative Economy Ministry and BGN in strengthening the creative economy sector, particularly through cooking training and the development of menus using local ingredients. As part of this effort, he said, the ministry will assign professional chefs to train cooks.
3. BGN Statement on KPK's Alleged Budget Cut for Free Nutritious Meals Program
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta — The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, claimed that there is no budget cut for Free Nutritious Meals as the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) alleged. According to him, the KPK has not received an explanation regarding the different budgets for Free Nutritious Meals raw materials, which vary depending on the region and education level.
"The budget for raw materials has been different from the beginning. From early childhood education (PAUD) to 3rd grade of elementary school, the standard is Rp 8,000. Meanwhile, for other children, it is Rp10,000," Dadan told Tempo on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
