TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk. recorded 34,000 visitors to Ancol tourist destination, Jakarta, on Wednesday, December 25, 2024. Head of Corporate Communications of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk. Ariyadi Eko Nugroho said that the total number of visitors was from various attractions in Ancol during this Christmas and New Year holiday.
"We hope that this trend will increase again this weekend," Ariyadi said when contacted by Tempo through a messaging application on Thursday, December 26, 2024.
Ancol offers various tourist destinations to entertain visitors in this holiday season, such as Dufan, Sea World, and Jakarta Bird. "And hopefully from December 31, 2024, to January 1, 2025, it will be even busier," he added.
SeaWorld and Atlantis, for example, are the most visited tourist destinations this year. Ariyadi said tourists in Ancol tend to spend more time at water tourism destinations to enjoy the Christmas and New Year holidays.
"Many visitors come to the beach area, Dufan, Sea World, Samudra, and Atlantis," Ariyadi said.
Meanwhile, Dufan recently introduced the latest innovation to entertain visitors during the year-end holiday. It is a robot parade that combines sophisticated technology with performing arts."This futuristic show will feature Boston Dynamics' Robot Spot and Unitree's H1 humanoid robot, which will be combined with Dufan's parade dancers," Ariyadi explained.
