TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather in Jakarta will tend to be sunny with overcast skies throughout today, Sunday, October 27, 2024. Only a small part of the Jakarta area has the potential to be showered with rain tonight.
Referring to the 24-hour weather forecast published by the BMKG at 19:00 local time on Saturday, nearly all areas of Jakarta are sunny with overcast skies in the early hours of Sunday. Only North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands are overcast.
From Sunday morning until 13:00 local time later, the weather throughout Jakarta will be sunny with overcast skies. The highest air temperature today could reach 34 degrees Celsius in the afternoon, while the lowest temperature is 24 degrees Celsius.
BMKG notes that the air humidity level in Jakarta will not exceed the range of 60-90 percent. The wind is blowing from the northwest to the southeast at a maximum speed of 5 kilometers per hour.
Later, from noon until 19:00 local time, Central Jakarta and South Jakarta are expected to be heavily overcast but with no rain potential. Only East Jakarta is likely to be showered with rain at that time. West Jakarta is predicted to be overcast, while North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands remain sunny with overcast skies.
Weather in some cities around Jakarta is wetter. Bekasi in West Java is still sunny until 10:00 in the morning but has the possibility of light rain showers starting from 15:00 to 20:00 local time later.
There is also a potential for light rain in Depok starting from 14:00 to 20:00 local time. Bogor is also sunny with minimal clouds at 08:00 to 09:00 local time before being showered with rain starting from 17:00 local time.
