GOOTO.COM, Jakarta - Indonesian racer Muhammad Kiandra Ramadhipa, sponsored by Astra Honda Motor, succeeded in winning the first race of the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (IATC) 2024 at Chang International Circuit, Buriram, Thailand, on Saturday, 26th October 2024.
This victory is the second for Ramadhipa. Previously, the racer from Yogyakarta, Indonesia, had won in race 2 of the opening round in Qatar.
The race was intense from the start. Ramadhipa started the race with full confidence. However, after the third lap, Ramadhipa briefly lost his racing rhythm and fell behind the leading group.
With high calmness and focus, he gradually improved his position to compete again in the leading group in the final three laps. The battle grew tighter in the final corner, where Ramadhipa managed to capitalize on the momentum to snatch the top spot on the podium.
"Although the FP and QP results gave me strong optimism, I lost my racing rhythm after the 3rd lap and fell far behind the leading group. I continued to concentrate and slowly closed the gap," said Ramadhipa.
"In the final 3 laps, I was able to compete again in the leading group and finally took advantage of the close battle in the last corner to finish first," he added in his official statement.
Ramadhipa is now strengthening his position in the competition for the top of the provisional standings, ranking third with a total of 121 points.
The second race of IATC Thailand will take place on Sunday, 27th October 2024, and can be watched on the Asia Talent Cup YouTube channel. Ramadhipa is ready to give his best to bring pride back to Indonesia.
